In a collaboration that spanned nearly 50 years, the filmmaker duo Danièle Huillet (1936–2006) and Jean-Marie Straub (born 1933) created one of the most influential and controversial oeuvres in modern cinema.
The exhibition, which treats the highly detailed, handcrafted working processes of the filmmakers, and also shows newly created artistic positions by international artists, forms the context and resonating space for an extensive programme. The programme includes rencontres and a retrospective with talks, discussions and a film programme.
