Alice Ongaro Sartori

Alice Ongaro Sartori is a curator and PhD candidate at the University of Hamburg, where her research explores how the memory of fascism has been re-elaborated within Italian artistic and editorial practices, particularly through visual poetry and the artist’s book. Her research has been supported by the Getty Research Institute of Los Angeles and the Liebelt Stiftung, Hamburg. Her work spans contemporary art and publishing, unfolding through books, public space, and nonconventional exhibition formats that weave together visual culture, literature, and ecology. She is part of wetlands, an independent publishing house based in Venice dedicated to social and environmental sustainability. She co-curated the first editions of the Floating Cinema (Venice, 2020–2022) and previously worked at the National Film School of Italy (2023). She was Head of Public Programs at Ocean Space and received a curatorial fellowship at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection (2018).
