Gilbert Simondon

studied philosophy under Georges Canguilhem. He was lecturer of psychology at the Sorbonne from 1963 onwards. Based on the concept of individuation, his »general phenomenology« of machines (i.e. an interdisciplinary theory of cybernetics, information technology and Gestalt theory) was a major source of inspiration for Gilles Deleuze amongst many others.
