Giovanna Perini Folesani

Giovanna Perini is head of the Institute of History of Art and Aesthetics at the University of Urbino. She is internationally well-known as specialist in Italian (Art) Literature, especially of Seicento and Settecento Rome and Bologna, and author of several articles contributing on questions of authorship, source criticism and intellectual history regarding main writers of Italy from Baroque to 19th century. She is also co-editor (together with Elizabeth Cropper, Washington) of a long expected commentary and English Translation of the Felsina Pittrice by Carlo Cesare Malvasia.
