has been a professor of transport planning at the University of Kassel since 1993. He served as the dean of the university’s Department of Architecture, City, and Landscape Planning until 2007. His work addresses interdisciplinary problems of space and urban development, transportation, automobile and mobility, art and psychology. In addition to his teaching activities he directed the Department
of Transportation at the Ministry for Housing, Urban Development, and Transport of the State of Sachsen-Anhalt. He was a member of the documenta 12 advisory board.
