Marina Camargo

is a Brazilian visual artist based in Berlin. She studied visual arts and holds a Diploma from Akademie der Bildenden Künste München (Germany), a Bachelor and a Master degree from Instituto de Artes / UFRGS, Porto Alegre (Brazil). She also studied Visual Culture at Universitat de Barcelona (Spain). In Camargo’s work, the notion of displacement defines a modus operandi for dealing with an established order of World: whether as a physical displacement through space and places or by conceptual shifts. Cartographic and geographical references are often the basis of her projects.
