Rosi Braidotti

is a philosopher, feminist theorist, distinguished University Professor and the founding Director of the Centre for the Humanities at Utrecht University (NL). She initially studied at Australian National University and then at the Université de Paris, Panthéon-Sorbonne, where she completed her dissertation in 1981 with Luce Irigary. In 1994 Braidotti was Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton (USA). She was awarded an Honorary Degree in philosophy by the University of Helsinki in 2007 and by Linköping University in 2013 and was knighted in the Order of the Netherlands Lion in 2005. In 2009 she was named Honorary Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities (FAHA) and has been a Member of the Academia Europaea (MAE) since 2014.
