Jens Kastner

Jens Kastner is a sociologist, art historian, and author. He is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Art Theory and Cultural Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. His research focuses on cultural and social theories, art criticism, the history and theory of social movements, anarchism, and Latin American Studies. His most recent publications are Balzac-Lektüren. Studies in Cultural Sociology (Vienna/Berlin: Turia + Kant, 2024) and Classification and Struggle. Zur Aktualität der Kultursoziologie Pierre Bourdieus (Vienna/Berlin: Turia + Kant, 2024).
