holds a postdoctoral position at ETH Zurich. She completed her PhD in 2011 with a dissertation on the history of cortisone, focusing on the correlation between hormone theory, pharmaceutical standardisation, and changing conceptions of health and disease in the first half of the 20th century, for which she was awarded the ETH medal. The book was published in 2012 at Chronos (Cortison. Geschichte eines Hormons, 1900–1955). Her current project is a history of global commodity trade in the 20th century, with a focus on Swiss trading companies.
