is researcher in digital cultures (Center for Digital Cultures, CDC) at Leuphana Universität Lüneburg and lecturer for Theatre- and Media-Science. She was Assistant-Professor for Theatre and Media at the University of Bayreuth until September 2010. In 2011/2012 she was Research Fellow at Morphomata, Center for Advanced Studies Genesis, Dynamics and Mediality of Cultural Figurations, University of Cologne. Leeker studied Theatre-Science and Philosophy in Berlin and Paris. She completed a training for Theatre and Mime in Paris at Etienne Decroux and Jacques Lecoq, as well as further education in dance and acting in Berlin. The focus of her scientific and artistic work is the relation between performance, economy, politics and digital media. Furthermore, she was chair of the first transatlantic McLuhan conference (2007).
