is research professor for new media and their impact on creative professions at the Willem de Kooning Academy Rotterdam University and director of the school’s research centre Creating 010. He also collaborates with the Parallel University of WORM, Rotterdam’s venue and production space for experimental music, film and media. Having studied general and comparative literature as well as history of art in Berlin, Constance and Amherst/Massachusetts, Cramer worked as research associate at the Peter Szondi Institute of Comparative Literature at the Freie Universität Berlin from 1998 to 2004. Cramer writes and publishes on art, experimentalism, information technology and politics, frequently also in the fanzine Jenseits der Trampelpfade.
