Ayse Güleç

studied social pedagogy/social work at the University of Kassel and has worked for the non-profit organization Kulturzentrum Schlachthof e.V. since 1998. Her work focuses on intercultural education, anti-racism concepts, and networking on local, regional, and international levels. She is active in the development of selforganized initiatives (related to women’s issues and migration) and developed the documenta 12 advisory board, for which she served as spokesperson.

Claudia Hummel

Claudia Hummel

studied art education and conceptual art at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart. She is involved in projects on the interface of art, society, and everyday life (including the collective finger, Theater an der Parkaue, Berlin) as an artist, gallery educator, and also curator. Since 2009 she teaches at the »Institut für Kunst im Kontext« at the Berlin University of the Arts. At documenta 12 she directed the project hatching ideas—for children and youth groups.

Sonja Parzefall

studied applied cultural studies at the University of Lüneburg, worked at the Kunstraum exhibition space at the same university, and also worked on the exhibition series The Government. She directed the gallery education program Inhabiting the World—pupils guide adults through documenta 12.

Ulrich Schötker

studied art education, fine art, German literature and media studies in Kassel, London, and Madrid. He also worked as a teacher in Berlin and Madrid and founded the exhibition space Liquidación Total in 2002 in Madrid. Between 2004 and 2008 he was a researcher at the University of Hamburg and investigated the relationship between art education and gallery education. He co-curated WALDEN #3—oder Das Kind als Medium (WALDEN #3—or the Child as Medium) at Kunsthaus Dresden. He directed the gallery education program at documenta 12. He currently works as a teacher in Hamburg.

Wanda Wieczorek

Wanda Wieczorek

studied applied cultural studies at the University of Lüneburg, worked in its exhibition space Kunstraum, and also worked on the exhibition series The Government. In addition, she was active in a number of different projects on contemporary art and social and political movements and on art in urban space, including the Culture and Social Movements Archive and Park Fiction. She was the assistant to the artistic directors of documenta 12 and developed the documenta 12 advisory board and the documenta 12 Halle.
