is Professor for Generative Art/Computational Art at the Institute for time based media at the UdK. After being a Visiting Scholar and Research Director at CREATE (UC Santa Barbara), he taught at IEM Graz (Austria) and at the Academy for Media and Arts (KHM) in Cologne, Germany, and as Edgard Varèse guest professor for Electronic Music at the Technical University Berlin. From 2005 – 2007 he led the interdisciplinary research team of SonEnvir (at IEM Graz), studying the applicability of data sonification in different scientific disciplines. From 2007 – 2009 he was Professor for Music Informatics at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Dusseldorf. From 2012 to 2013 he was a speaker of the Graduate School for the Arts and the Sciences at the Berlin University of the Arts.
studied dance at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt and at the Australian Ballet School in Melbourne. As a freelance dancer and choreographer, he works for theater, film and exhibitions. He is working for Laban Centre London, P.A.R.T.S. Brüssel and Ohio State University as guest lecturer. Since 2008, he worked as guest professor at the Inter University Center for Dance Berlin where he has been appointed as the Artistic Director in 2012. Since 2013 he is the Speaker of the Graduate School for the Arts at the Berlin University of the Arts.
