received her academic training in History of Art, Philosophy und Literary Studies in London, Heidelberg und Berlin. She received her PhD from Humboldt University in 1999. Currently she is head of a project in the DFG-Research Unit »Media and Mimesis« at the Bauhaus University, Weimar. Her research and publications concern phenomena of the „Real“ in contemporary art, art and questions of agency, practices and material interactions in 15th century and the emergence of the early still-life from book illumination.
is a philosopher and cultural scientist. His dissertation was concerned with phenomenology and the history of mathematics. He was a member of the DFG postgraduate programme »Codierung von Gewalt im medialen Wandel« at Humboldt University Berlin. He has been chief scientist and curator of numerous exhibitions, e.g. »SCHMERZ« at the Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin / Berliner Medizinhistorisches Museum (2007); »10+5=Gott. Die Macht der Zeichen« at the Jewish Museum Berlin (2004); »ARBEIT. Sinn und Sorge« at the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum Dresden (2009–2010).
